[It's difficult not to crawl into the bed with Jamie and wrap himself around the younger male. Max can feel the pull as readily as he feels the beating of his heart. It's not like he wouldn't love to anyway. It's so easy to want where Jamie's concerned. Max's protective nature is borderline dangerous when it comes to Jamie. If it had been anything more than a cut hand-- Max would have carried him out and healed him without a second thought.

As it is, the slight pain-- the throb is hard for Max to feel, to know that Jamie has to experience. He wants to be home and in their bed together as much as Jamie does. When the nurse finally comes with the paperwork, Max helps Jamie sign it and then slings the curtain closed so they can put him back in his street clothes.]
